Using any combination of the 2, 4 and 8-way optical splitters, passive optical networks can be realized that satisfy almost any requirement for network coverage. The Triax fibre optical TOS passive splitter/coupler units let you build passive optical networks (PON) in virtually any size and split ratio. The link budget of your transmitter/receiver products normally determine the limits of the number of ways you can split. Depending on the transmitter power for the Triax Hybrid Fibre Coax (HFC), splitting into 32 or even 64 ways is possible. Using TOS splitters in cascade with optical LNB products the link budget allows splitting up to 32 ways.
