We are unable to deliver longer length poles and very heavy items to some postcodes. We reserve the right to charge extra for orders of particulary long or bulky items where we will incur extra courier charges. If you are out for delivery our couriers will either leave goods with a neighbour if they deem it safe to do so, or attempt a second delivery. If you are still out after the second attempt the goods will be returned to us and further delivery charges may be incurred. Please do not reject goods because of box damage as the goods inside may well be undamaged. If the packaging is damaged mark 'packaging damaged' next to your signature. If after inspection you find the goods are damaged please contact us and we will arrange to swap them over. If rejected goods arrive back to us in undamaged condition a return postage charge may be incurred. Packaging: At Aerial Shack, we want you to receive your purchase in the same great condition it left us. We use only good quality materials for packaging and wherever possible we recycle packaging material. We too buy online and can assure you no one takes better care of your purchases. Returns/Refunds/Substitutes/Cancelling an order: If you are not happy with your purchase and wish to return it, please notify us by letter or email within 7 working days after receipt of your item. You will be given a returns number. Please mark the outside of the returning item with this number. Goods returned without a returns number on the outside will be left unopened. Returned items (that are not faulty or damaged in transit) must be in unused 'as new' condition. Trade customers will be charged a 15% restocking charge for unwanted items. If you are cancelling an order that has not yet been despatched please send a confirmation email notifying us of the cancellation. Please ensure the email contains your Aerial Shack order number and your name and address. Orders may not be cancelled without this confirmation email. We shall not be liable for postage costs on unwanted (non-faulty) returns or cancelled orders where a confirmation email was not sent before we despatched the order and where applicable we shall charge the full postage charge on these items. If non-faulty returns are not in as-new condition they will be returned back to the customers after the customer has paid for the return postage cost. Return it to us at the address on the website by a recorded means (not special delivery). We will refund all postage costs if an item arrives damaged due to our negligence, faulty or we have sent the wrong item. We will not refund any postage costs for any other circumstances. Items lost or damaged in the post are insured, we will refund/replace and we will claim from the relevant postal services should this be necessary. We will not accept an item is lost in the post untill 10 working days have elapsed from the day after postage (UK only) (please note Royal Mail say 15 working days). Trade customers will only be issued a credit note on unwanted goods and must pay all postage costs. Incorrectly addressed or insufficiently addressed items (where the customer has entered the delivery address) that go missing in the post, or are returned to us, will not be compensated for. Where free delivery is given, returns may incurr a delivery charge (this includes the return of part of an order-where we have to test the items) and this will be deducted from any refund. Refunds are issued within 21 days. Note: trade and account customers refunds are issued at the end of the month following invoice. All items carry a 12 month warranty. Under warranty items are to be 'returned to base' by the customer, if testing proves the item to be faulty then we will repair any defect that arises due to faulty materials or workmanship free of charge or replace. The Warranty on the replacement product will continuously run from the original purchase date of the original product. This Warranty will be invalid if: faults arise as a result of negligence, item is incorrectly installed or used, tampered with or altered in any way. This Warranty applies to UK mainland and Channel Islands only. Any claims made under the terms of the Warranty must be supported by the original invoice or bill of sale issued at the time of purchase The Warranty is not transferable between other EU Countries. For items sold outside the UK mainland postcodes and Europe the customer shall be liable for all extra postage costs when returning items for testing or repair and for the return postage costs. In very rare instances we will send an alternative product, the product sent shall fulfill exactly the same role as the product ordered, and be of the same quality, similar value and cosmetically very similar or if different cosmetically will only be sent when appearance is irrelevant to the products use. Where the product is of less value we will refund the difference, and if of higher value, there shall be no additional surcharge applied. Certain items such as cut lengths of cable, extension leads, some Status spares and specially ordered items are not returnable unless faulty or at our discretion when a restocking fee may be charged. We will not accept liability for wrongly ordered/entered goods after delivery. We reserve the right to change these terms and conditions at any time. If you’re buying a new electrical item, we will recycle your old one for free Unwanted electrical equipment is the UKs fastest growing type of waste. Please do not throw electrical equipment (including those items marked with the crossed out wheeled bin symbol) in your bin. This is because: - Many electrical items can be repaired or recycled, saving natural resources and the environment.
- If we do not recycle electrical items they will end up in landfill where hazardous substances will leak out and cause soil and water contamination – harming wildlife and also human health.
The Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE) Directive requires countries to maximise separate collection and environmentally friendly processing of these items. In the UK, distributors including retailers must provide a system which allows all customers buying new electrical equipment the opportunity to recycle their old items free of charge. As a responsible retailer, we have met the requirements placed on us by offering all customers buying new electrical equipment free take-back of their old electricals on a like-for-like basis in our stores. Unwanted items should be returned within 28 days of purchasing your new product.
